A new study shows that a healthy plant diet reduces an individual’s risk of colorectal cancer. The study involved over 170,000 participants. They followed up with these individuals after an avarage follow-up time of 19 years and found that the men who followed a healthy plant-based diet had lower rates of colorectal cancer than the control. Interestingly, the same results were not observed in women.
